The great head shave
Brian was looking for an excuse to shave his head anyway, so he told his basketball team that if they won a game, he'd do it in front of the school. The girls got all pumped about that, and finally won their first game, 25-17, at Round Valley on Thursday night! Yesterday morning, Jack and I were witnesses to the event, held during morning assembly at the elementary school. Francisco the custodian did the honors:

Not all handsome men are handsome bald (can you say, lumpy heads?), but he IS handsome as a bald man too. And what a fun motivation for his team!
Our daughter played basketball in junio high, high school and college, all with men coaches. So I have a special place in my heart for men who are willing to coach, emotional, unpredictable, sometimes distracted, sometimes PMS, girls! :)
